Here we are at the end of another busy year, which I hope has been as successful for you as it has been for me. Despite the difficult trading conditions, particularly at the beginning of 2012 the year has turned out very well overall.
I am now looking forward to another exciting year with lots of opportunities to keep busy, learn new skills and add value to my clients.
As I write this I am sitting in my new office at the corner of Duhamel Street and New Street in the centre of St Helier, Jersey. I am sharing the office with Julian Barber of Island Ark Ltd. Julian has recently purchased the office and I am delighted to be joining him, where we will create the right environment to continue our separate businesses as well as exploring the opportunities to work together on new initiatives.
Island Ark is a successful market research and data services company with a track record of providing local businesses with professional and cost-effective research services. Julian and I have worked together on several projects recently and we both see benefits in working closer together. For Island Ark there are opportunities to offer clients project management and consultancy services to implement actions arising from market research projects. For Solitaire Consulting, I also see opportunities to offer research services as an integral part of organisational change programmes in the form of ‘change readiness’ surveys, employee engagement surveys or other market based research projects.
In addition to working with Island Ark, I am also looking forward to continuing the relationship I have developed with Jobstream Group plc, acting as their on-island representative and process management consultant. Jobstream Group have developed an excellent suite of products to support the trust and corporate services sector and I hope to do more to support their client base in 2013.
Finally, there is my membership of The Lamberhurst Corporation Consultancy Network, which also has potential to generate some exciting opportunities for me to contribute to projects in the UK and to help develop our portfolio of consulting products and services.
