The last two months have been particularly busy for Solitaire Consulting. We’ve had some tight project deadlines to meet as well as new projects to plan. One of my New Year’s resolutions will be to be more diligent in looking after my followers. I’ll by providing more regular content on this blog.

Looking back on the year, I have spent most of my time working and advising on digital transformation projects in and around the trust and corporate services sector. Most of this has been done from my home base in Jersey. I have also been fortunate enough to work with clients and partners in the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Monaco, Isle of Man, Switzerland, and the UK. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the opportunities and challenges you have provided me with during the year.

My prediction for next year is that the types of organisation I work with are going to continue to invest in technology, but the emphasis will be on getting more value from their internal systems and spreading the reach of technology to their clients, partners and suppliers. This is where true digital transformation can happen, enabling organisations to deliver better value to their customers and shareholders.

This can only be achieved by deploying modern software, working with the right partners and having a supportive culture across the business. I have some thoughts and insights on this which I am putting together in an article called Digital Transformation of the Supply Chain. I will share this with you early in the New Year.

It just remains for me to take this opportunity to wish you and your families all the best for the holiday season and for a successful and healthy 2019.
